I believe that if you look at the movement, you'll see that it is exactly the same as the Sea-Gull chrono based on the old Venus 175 movement and probably made in the Sea-Gull (i.e. Chinese) factory. That said, it is a good movement and worth the price asked. The sub dial at 6 is silly, though, as it only mimics the movement of the hour hand and is not independantly settable.

a quote from Eddie Platts in regards to Seagull movementshand6.gif

The interesting thing about the Seagull movements (or any other Chinese movement) is that I can get them and have them finished (refinished) in Switzerland or Germany, have my own calibre number stamped on them and call them Swiss or German.

Eddie

and a nice pictorial on the seagull st19 chronohand6.gif

I'm not one to start or spread rumors but reading on another forum the person said that during the OTV a hand fell of the watch while js was showing it...and he did a good job of hiding it...take it FWIW................

a hand fell off ?mistake.gif

....well as many know I still snag some Invictas for whatever reason but they are well researched and rarely if ever picked up from Slop...there are a few good models out there but knowing what and when to buy along with how much to pay and who makes them has become an artform among many of ushand6.gif

With this said I tend to stick with higher end Invictas(not always a wise choice)once they are dropped to a price that is more in line to what I feel the watch is worth as their debut prices are much inflated and many of us know to never buy an Invicta when it 1st comes out as they will be sold for 50 to 70% less in a matter of time....also an Invicta LE never seems to sell out as they reappear almost magically months to a year down the line! :D

Never buy an Invicta from Slop when it says only 1 left as it is 95% sure it was a return and will be in need of repair!:D

Never send a Invicta to them for warranty work as it will come back in worse shape than when it went in:D

When Eyal repeatedly says"You Guys" during a presentation he is usually BS'ing:D

...So I've started the ball a rolling so if any of our very astute WIS here at 3T have something to add that may help the new Invictaphile in their purchases please let us knowhand6.gif

Eyal should NEVER speak. He is a bumbling type... The BS is so clear and you can even see him try and not laugh when he is speaking as if he and Jim have some kinda inside jokes concerning the product they are peddling.

You know it's suspect when they dance around the technical specs. The same line gets repeated again and again" this is a MECHANICAL chrone A Graph"  as opposed to chronograph.

"this is a top tier mechanical chrone a graph!!!!!"  No mention as to its origins etc.

Someone needs to let Jim know he is peddling watches... I think somehwere along the lines he was told he was JUST like Jay Leno.  No no no.   Stick to selling asian "swiss made"  watches Jim.  The Talk show angle is very late night informercial colon cleansing for just $19.99!!!!!!!!!

Once Again I am spared by my T-3 brethren from yet another Invicta Swissasian timepiece O shyt.

This movement was made specifically to appease the replica watch market in china who needed a three register narrow spaced sub dial chronograph.

As was pointed out the 6 o-clock sub dial is another hour hand. If the watch had been made like a regulator without the central hour hand and with more emphasis on the 6 0-clock sub dial I would have bought two of them, as it is I will wait until eor um i mean he-haw.. whatever the heck his name is can get the regular ST19 with two registers in his watches.

Also I seem to recall Android used the regular ST19 in a cool looking watch last year too...

even after all that complaining it's still a darned nice watch!
