Ever been excited because you got one of the last items, then frustrated, then irritated with an e-mail that an item was suddenly on a 37 day back-order , then never ever get the product? I have. Have you ever heard " we have less than 2 per state" ? I have. Well from the 2004 corporate filling on page 7 of the acrobat file under other Initiatives. "We also introduced an oversell initiative in 2004. Before this initiative, when we sold out of an item, customers trying to purchase it were told it was sold out. Recognizing that a percentage of our orders are canceled before they ship, we instituted the oversell process – much like airlines overbook – to sell canceled product before it is canceled. This has resulted in two benefits – happy customers who get product they want instead of being told it is sold out, and better margins achieved by selling inventory when it is fresh." Yeah but when the Airlines have overbooked me, ( I either got bumped up to first class or got a Voucher for the equivalent of a free trip.) that always made me a happy camper. But I have never been bumped and left empty handed ( I guess that SNBC has a flaw in there happy customer model, unless if they lose less than 25% of the customer base that it is consider a success).] Here is the annual report to investors http://www.b2i.cc/investorDownload.asp?D=1&M=du&B=949&F=2004_Annual_Report.pdf&Download=Click+to+open ..

You might wonder why I take such Issue with SNBC. Well of the 7 watches that I have ordered from SNBC that I did not cancel. : ( I have ordered a few more but canceled several after 10-14 days and the order was still in Process) The First one was the 9938 Winder debacle (first purchase from SNBC) Then I was shipped a $1200 JL Chrono with the Val. 7751 that the pusher fell out when I pushed it in. (it was shipped from the Returns dept, it is amazing I went to cancel the order the next morning and it was to late it had already been shipped ) I had to file a dispute with my CC on this one. This is the one I spent 55 minutes on hold. One watch that was guaranteed delivery before Christmas (ordered on the 9th of December it shipped snail mail on the 23rd.) Arrived the 27th. Another missed my Dads birthday. Then I was shipped the wrong watch color ( white dial instead of blue Another Expensive watch ) Got this e-mail 3 times in my inbox But it has always been after the expected ship date ( One was supposed to be a gift): Dear XXXXXXX, Due to the overwhelming popularity of Jxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, this product is currently oversold. Please accept our sincere apology that we will not be able to ship your order to you on the date that we had originally promised. We are uncertain as to when more of this product will arrive at our warehouse. We have changed the status of your order to a Waitlist order. We expect that within the next 37 days we should receive additional product in our warehouse, and we will ship to you as soon as it arrives. We know that you are looking forward to receiving this item and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment this delay may cause. If you do not wish to have your order on a Waitlist status, please contact Customer Service to cancel your order. You may contact Customer Service at 1-800-676-5523. Customer Service is open Monday - Friday from 8 am ET to 10:00 pm ET; and Saturday from 10:00 am ET to 6:30 pm ET. We will be happy to assist you with order questions or to help you find an alternative item to order. Again, we apologize for this situation and hope you will continue to shop with ShopNBC in the future. Sincerely, Mitch Cook Vice President, Customer Service ShopNBC Customer Service So I have gotten sucked in about 1 watch a month. I used the $50 coupon 2x one for me and one for my wife. By the way I learn my lesson Never ever use the Smartlabel you have "NO Proof " that you shipped it until it arrives at the Smartlabel warehouse in California. Plus Priority mail with tracking is only about $4. One watch that I sent back this way, was mailed on the 15th and was received at Eden Praire for scanning on the 9th of the following month. They said that it outside the window for returns. Smartlabel uses normal first class mail ( with no USPS tracking, so if it gets stolen or lost in transit your SOL, you can't even prove that you mailed it also no post mark either ( barcode label ) so no proof of a ship date. So with this last e-mail I am done with purchases from SNBC. I shop a lot on line ( I agree that e-bay is a bit of a gamble ) But other places that I shop on line on a regular basis, I get what I order ( i.e. Best Buy, Office depot, Staples, wal-mart, Costco, Sports authority, HSN, Overstock, Target, etc ) I don't feel that it should be a gamble when you order from a almost 3/4 billion company. Value Vision. But from mis-labeled description on the websites, to mis-representation on the tube. So SNBC has a crappy record with me less than 50% I think that I have finally learned that they will never improve. It is amazing I have had better luck with Dealtree ( the are explicit in what is wrong with any watch , probably to avoid charge-backs ) than I have had with dealing directly with SNBC. The JL

Im no longer shocked by this companys behavour, especially considering their beginings. What amazes me is the continued masses of the WIS community that continue to torture themselves dealing with SlopNBC. I learned my lessons with Nvicta.....never again
