Blame Overstock for this. They do it all the time. The unsuspecting, unknowledgeable buyer is who they prey upon for this kind of thing. They do it with Croton watches too. Way over price them and those who don't know will buy them. At least some people do. It is not unlike the yo-yo pricing at shopnbc. Not everyone tunes in or goes to the web site every week. Some buy their watch and never return.

Good point Mike but unlike Overstock the host at Slop has wonderful e-mail exchanges with his many fans. He can even offer unbiased advise on the wonderful products sold on Slop to lead his sheep in the right direction:(:P

Long live the :dude:

shopnbc aside for a moment, the real shame here is Overstock is overcharging on a crappy Invicta watch. It was/is not one of Invicta's better efforts if I recall. I had one and sent it back. 'Twas not a gem. If they are going to scam on an Invicta, they should at least pick a model with a Miyota movement. Or a quartz that isn't likely to break.

Mike,

They are giving those away:( Those elegant divers are great watches for less than 70 bucks. Heck the lizard strap has to be worth $30-$35:)

Let us understand that Overstock is having a once in a quarter or so 15% off all watches sale. So, right now is not the time to be comparing prices.

Their prices at the moment are exceptional. But, they still do have some prices that make no sense if you look through the whole site. I look at their prices quite a bit and they have some incredible steals one week and some "you-be-stupid-to-buy-it" prices the next.

In general, I have gotten excellent service from Overstock. I received on bad Croton watch and sent it back. I also got a Seiko Monster that died on me. It took two trips back to their service department, but they did fix it.
