I really was there. A group of us drove a friends VW bus up and camped out in the rain for four days. I guess I'm giving my age away now.

Man... You are one lucky guy! I have a suspicion I was gunned down in Vietnem back in 1968. I pine for those days with an odd deja vu like vibe. Who knows. But I am certainly fascinated with all things 60s 70s.  Woodstock must have been amazing. I have the DVD...but I suspect it's not quite the same.;)

There is the natural tendancy to romanticize it a little too much. It was very cool but we were pretty miserable by the time we got out of there what with the rain, mud, and lack of facilities and food.
