You know my lust for all things satin...I just couldn't help it. Looks good, a bit more subtle. I always find a satin finish to appear more "solid" "hefty" etc

I used a strip of sandpaper about 10 mm wide and used it on the tip of my finger. Going in 1 direction repeatedly. Kinda like those skateboarders in that half pipe ramp...I held the watch sideways and simply went into the scallops in one direction.

Came out really cool! Now I am waiting on my Monster bracelet soon to arrive. May have to give that the satin subtle effect as well.  ~Eric:P

I am insane that way...I will focus for hours if need be. However, this job took about 30 min. I just kept lining the bezel scallop up with the case scallops and buffed away. I then did all the little accents like on the lip of the bezel. So now it is completely satin.  Bracelet should be here by Friday. ;-) Thanks Gaspar!

Some time you should try a Bergeon No. 5444 abrasive and ruber block.  This one is fine powder, you can also get them in larger grit.  They are easy on the watch and give a consistant finish quick.  I like brushed finishes too.

Thanks! I will look into that. It would cut my time down I am sure. Lot of the time is spent ensuring the even finish.

Black Monster has since been Re-polished. The satin look was nice but took too much away from the Monster. So we shine again!
