I'm fairly certain the Mido I recently pulled out of the Bay did not come on its original strap. I got mine on a chocolaty faux print Hirshc which is a nice strap but decidedly not me... I put it on the padded and stiched Hirsch i picked up from Eric a bit back. My intent was to put my Sector 850 on the strap from Eric but so far its strap has proven difficult to remove without serious patience or some damage to its lugs... My question to you is simple. Of the two choices below, which do you find more appealing, or failing that, should I get a more honey tinged strap to bring out the "champagne" in the Mido's dial. I recently had the chance to see, inspect and wear CJ's Multifort 7750 and it came on a honey strap with Mido signed deploymant clasp. I've also wanted to run a poll which we never seem to use... Your choices A B C GET ANOTHER STRAP!! Thanks for taking the time... Pax

Mark is it that the spring bars on the Sector does not have any flange in order to grab a hold of? Try a very dull scalpel blade to get right in to the joint between the spring bar and lug, and you will be able to get it in there with out cutting the strap or marking the lug.

The strap is synthetic and I would say semi-intergrated in that is is super snug to the lug. I am unable to get between the strap and lug the spring bar without hammering on it and probabley marring the lug. I only have sharp scalpel blades so I guess I'll need to kill and slice up a hobo to dull the blade. that should do the trick... Peace, Mark

I like it on a padded and stiched Hirsch strap. It looks nicer IMO. Hi Eric, Where did you get that strap? I've been looking for a 20mm black padded and stiched smooth leather strap strap with 7.5" lenght for my SuperOcean.

Nando, I got it at thewatchprince.com they had a sale on them. The person to ask about straps is Mike he knows all of the models, I think. Try to PM Marc (IW) to see if he can get one that you want. NANDO-FERDZ wrote: I like it on a padded and stiched Hirsch strap. It looks nicer IMO.

Thanks for the input folks. I'll remind you there is a poll located at the top of the post so vote for the strap of your choice. O, the lugs are 20mm. I may have a blue sharky laying around that might work. I never considered blue, but you might be right in saying that blue would add some pizzazz. Funny thing about the watch is that CJ and I had this and his 7750 Pulimeter side by side and his dial seemed a touch more vibrant. Clearly not apples and apples. Pax

They are hardly the same between runs. Only if you have the instrumentation to check the dies and modify them there is always a variation even if it is not evident at first. Different dies and compounds age and break down at diff rates. The smaller the shop the more variation usually.
