I've been wanting a bracelet for my Ball Fireman and decided I would go to the source only to find the bracelet is $220 through Ball. I am a cheap bastard I guess becuase it seems ridiculous to me. I might have expected half that price. Prolem is, the Fireman is 21mm between lugs and I've been unable to find a bracelet of that size.

Am I too cheap...should I just through down the cha-ching and be done with it?

Or do any of y'all know were I could find a 21mm bracelet?

thanks for reading,

Pax

$220 seems steep to me when, as you point out, the price differential between strap and bracelet versions is more like $50. I did buy the Fireman new but on a strap as the blue indice model I decided on was not available on the bracelet.

That's how they get 'ya. Its buried in the price already.

For instance, a Junkers 6296-2 goes for 270 on leather; on Titanium its 305. I sell the band itself for $75.

It's like a chop shop; a car is worth more in pieces than together.

Well, they haven't got me yet... I'm a thrifty bugger who will finda way to get what I want for less... I could always get one of the spring loaded bracelets that fits 18mm-22-mm.

Now that was what they deemed "retail" cost though they did not make mention if another pricing sceem was available to me... say the cheap guys price...

I don't need the bracelet I just put CJ's 20mm on from his Ball worldtimer and it really changed the look of the watch.

He's not being cheap, just trying to get around 220.00 for a bracelet. The marathon bracelet is 160.00 from countycomm but can be had for 120.00 at other locations. Its one of the best out there. A Tag Heuer 6000 bracelet was 800.00 when the watch was still being made. I found that out the hard way. Pax, have you contacted preppyboy to see if he has one?

I concur....Pax is a real collector...He has peices of all movements and styles....He has boxes and boxes of watches with different ETA movements as well as the different Japanese movements...even some chinese...as well as some different quartz movements...He doesnt separate them by PRICE alone , although he has some very expensive peices... Pax does not believe that the price of a watch is the ONLY indicator of its true worth....He has many sport types but also has dress and some complications .....Pax has been known to look and find a Bargain .....

Thanks buddy though I consider myself a watch lover rather than a collector.
