Wow! Check out the price difference and they even have some for the ladies. I wonder why there is such a big difference in price. These watch companies appear to charge anything they want.:X

Newton&Sons has a few different sizes. They have a 40mm, 42mm, 46mm and a 36mm for the ladies. They also have many different dial, strap and bracelet combinations not shown on that link. I know a couple of people that have bought these 1 or 2 years ago. Oceanaut is selling their 42mm for $599. LOL That is what's great about this forum. Most of us try and cut through all of the BS we have shoved down our throats.

:shock::shock:

Investigate.

Research.

Inquire.

Wait.

I ain't known for being that smart but the above has finally sunk in with me!

I have fallen prey to this typical WIS trap previously, and it shows in the derth of posts where I am shouting about the new watch I just "scored"!

I just think it is good common sense to take ALL claims and assertions involving any new watch or new brand with a grain of salt and rest assured that the number of REAL deals which have actually been "do or die" are miniscule in number.

The urge to just pull the trigger because someone has created a supposed need for immediate action or "you will miss out on this once in a lifetime deal" is truly compelling, but as history has taught me.......most often nothing more than sales jibberish.

Anyone remember the $990 Marina Militaire ?

The absolute WORST scenario is most probably a time delay as you wait for that "next" production run or someone who has lost their enthusiasm with the deal they got and puts the pieces up for sale. In this market of low to medium cost watches there is rarely a true case of having to rush to buy for fear of losing out or incurring higher pricing on the next production run. BALONEY!

They want to sell watches! There is always ANOTHER deal coming!

Why do these look so familiar?

I just have to "get out" more often.

Well..........not as often as some, but..................

Heck....in this day & age I don't even need to "go out" !

I just need to pay the DSL bill.

Where's the beef?:P

From checking the complete auctions for these watches, it appears the average reserve price is around $175. They certainly aren't dirt cheap, but they do have Renato beat.

They are really nice watches no matter which name is on it. I keep hearing that they'll make an automatic, but, I've been hearing that for close to 2 years now.:D
