OK, so i received the watch today from ShopNBC. Overall not a bad watch for the $ spent.  Unfortunately for this Invicta, I have been wearing a rock solid Seiko Monster on my wrist now for 2 weeks and in comparison, the Invicta is just not cutting it. The bracelet with the much touted "solid end links" has a "made in cambodia" feel to it. The space between links is too large and the bracelet when held sideways almost forms a U.  Try that with your Monster bracelet and you will have much less bowing. Overall the Bracelt IMHO Sucks..has a tinny, noisy bangle-like quality to it. I am TRYING to remove Bracelet so as to see watch case on a different strap perhaps, it seems as though "Invicta" wants me to feel motivated to buy the special Invicta watch tool kit. NO! In all my years, this is the one bracelet I cannot remove! It's as if the Bracelet is welded onto the case?!! The design is such that yes, perhaps one need buy Eyal's "SPECIAL" tool kit. Before I do that, I will return this watch on principal alone. Overall I am 50/50 on this one. The head is cool...dial a bit on the tiny size. Looks a bit more dressy borderline mafia cool. I have to see this watch on a diff. strap if I can get the damn bracelet off.

In a nutshell, it looks tiny compared to Seiko Monster...diameter of dial seems a bit smaller than I like. The watch head is a tank. Very nice and very solid feel. 316l surgical grade  SS. Has wavy raised pattern on dial. Would prefer flat dial...but not the worst design. Now if I can only get the bracelet off!

UPDATE: THursday May 4th. The bracelet is not bad at all. In fact, it is not too far off from my Samurai bracelet which I also find to be a bit below the Monster Bracelet. So in a nutshell, the bracelet is fine. It's just a compliment to the Monster Bracelet.

I ordered one and then cancelled the order after seeing a couple of pics; just didn't do it for me; and I will agree that Invicta would have to come up with something really special to outdo the Monster!

Yeah, I perceived it as being bigger on the show. I actually sold it to a friend across the street for $100.  It just did not do anything. ZZZZZZZZ I feel better having bought it and looked it at.  No remorse now. ;-) Now, my Samurai arrived today as well but I was not home. So I am going to pick it up from the post office in the am. :dude:

Man, you were kinda pumped about this one... I've got one coming and my expectations are considerably lowered, but I don't intend to compare it to a Monster (which is coming on rubber) or any other watch I own. I just hope the bracelet isn't as hokey as it might seem. What the Hell, though I figure another orange splash in the box. You were lucky to get a c-note for it, huh. I'll give you my impressions pretty darn soon as it has shipped. I may be more forgiving as this is to be my first dance with Invicta...

Peace,

Pax

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #f8f8f8"Hey Pax, it's not that bad, I am just used to my Monster bracelet. Hard act to follow. It's a very loose feeling bracelet. Not quite as firm as the Monster. Overall, for the price, I think it's a steal. The watch head is very SOLID and very HEFTY. The height too is impressive. 14mm. If you got the orange, I think it will be a much better color for this particular style. It livens it up a lot more. My only true gripe was the bracelet and you know...it's a decent bracelet. I am just Monster-spoiled right now. My sammie arrived!!! It's a keeper! I love the white dial.

Hey Pax, you definitely had the better taste this time around. I must say the orange is a totally different beast. Looks very nice I must say. I too thought about orange and I let my GF talk me out of it. "Get the black...."  The orange just might have been a keeper for me. :?
