 OK...

So, I knew this would happen eventually...

I went to Blackcreek Outfitters for some camping gear for this coming weekend...

Well, I got my gear; but they had a this one for 50% off:

If your not familiar with a Suunto Core; they are more of a time telling instrument which makes them IMO very cool.

Here is a list of the functions:
  • Altimeter with altitude log memory and altitude difference measurement
  • Barometer with storm alarm and weather trend indicator
  • Automatic Alti / Baro switch
  • Compass with semi automatic calibration and a digital bearing
  • Depth meter
  • Multiple watch, date and alarm functions with dual time and countdown timer
  • Sunrise/Sunset times for over 400 locations worldwide
  • Digital thermometer
  • Menu based user interface in English, German, French and Spanish
  • User-replaceable battery

Well... It should at least come in handy this weekend!

Thanks for looking!

Bill

Bill...I like it man!!!  Congrats! thumbsup.gif

I have a Tissot T-Touch that I've had for like 8-9 years...has some techy features like the tactile sapphire crystal, but also the compass, and altimeter, and thermometer which is fun when in the great outdoors.

What is really wild about your arrival is I've been eyeing up the Suunto Core model too (which is my favorite in their lineup from a looks and features perspective), off-and-on over the past couple weeks...at least when it passes across my stream of consciousness and I don't end up distracted by something elsesubtlelaugh.gif.

Nicely done, and at 50% off too!!!  Enjoy it!!!

Hey Bill !

Big congrats on your newbie ! bravo.gif

The Core is one of my most accurate outdoor watches.

It is a great watch to all outdoor activities.

Especially the Altimeter is very accurate.

Those are 2 good ones, Bill and Philipp. I think its got a GPS chip inside to aid in the compass and alti features. Reminds me of an iPhone's features.

If I were to shoot down a quartzie now, that Suunto Core would be it.

Congrats.
