Well, the watch bug bit me earlier this year and this is my newest love! It's made me stop looking at all others except it's bigger brother that is.
This is my "new to me" 1988 1140 movement ST 175.0032 Speedmaster Automatic.

Got it off a WUS member so I anticipated it coming from a good home. Recent Omega Boutique service papers with warranty until 2015. The only issue I have with it is that the 12hr hand in bottom dial is just off to the right from center....don't know what the service was that would leave this like it is, but I may go to the closest Omega Boutique to see what they can do. Watch works perfectly and looks great.

Smaller than anticipated, but I think this makes it a little more subtle and less in your face which is ok by me. I wear my watches for me not anyone else!

My images from getting it today, swapped out original band for a Di-Modell Rallye Black

Might not come off this week.... or next...

Its a beauty and congratulations! ThumbsUp02.gif

I also agree with your statement. One should wear watches for oneself and not for other ppl.

So far...loving it!

I'm still getting used to the smaller size, but like that it fits under a shirt sleeve easily and doesn't get noticed.

When ever I ware anything 42ish I get looks or questions about them.... I don't mind this when I have "watch people" interested in the piece, but general public I get suspicious... Dad is a retired cop so I've been trained to distrust most.

Anyways, I like it a lot. I can see why some prefer the larger sibling to this one, but I think for me it would only be for having a larger face of which I have others for that purpose.

It is from 1988, was recently serviced and came with a 2 yr warranty from the Omega Boutique so it is in really good condition.

I'm a little careful with it when out as I bang the crap out of my wrists so I anticipate the hesalite will most likely need to be buffed at some point. I'd opt for a sapphire swap if one existed, but then it wouldn't be authentic.

Thanks for all the great comments!
