I can hear it now. The "I told you so's" from Oscar, Ken, etc. I just received this really nice looking Invicta from Overstock.com (took nine days to get here via UPS - jeez they are slow) and it was DOA right out of the box. It ran for 5 seconds and stopped. I wound it up and it ran for about 10 seconds and stopped. Now it won't run at all.  coyote2.gif

FWIW, I also received a ladies Jacques Lemans to give as gift. It came from Amazon.com. DOA. Runs 6-8 hours slow. Most likely a bad battery, but it is going back too. I had a JL last year I thought was just a bad battery and I had to send it in three times before they replaced it. coyote2.gif

Sorry to hear Mike...but any Invicta is a crap shoot these days and haven't heard much better from JL/SWI as well...it's how they are willing to handle the CS end now!I bought a Seiko from Overstock that was DOA and that ended my Overstock experience..I have been very Happy with TT and his shows as I have yet to have one problem in 20 Watches so far!hand6.gif

The Invicta is actually a pretty watch. But, I won't exchange it for another. Overstock is charging me shipping both ways and a restocking fee. I emailed them to complain, but I haven't heard back. Online, they don't give you an option for defective. So, you have to select another reason for sending it back. Overstock is much harder  to deal with if you want to return something. I tried the watch again a few times and it runs for a few seconds and stops.

Yeah, SWI has a lot of old stock out in the market place. Some of these watches are probably a year or two old sitting there with dead or dying batteries.

Mc wright, all the watches i have gotten from Overstock have been fine. I always get the lower end ones and have not spent more that 57 dollars on any watch.I am sorry to hear of your bad experiences.

1st of all, the Invicta wasn't DOA.........it ran for a total of 15 seconds!  How dare you malign Invicta like that!subtlelaugh.gif  As for the JL, they used to be a very good watch before Lior started to "Invictimize" the brand.

As far as Overstock, send it back and challenge the charge on you card.  They sent you defective merchandise.  They cannot charge you shipping and restocking on that!

Ya know, you're right. It did run for 30 seconds just a bit ago. I guess that's not bad. 30 seconds is a lifetime in Invicta terms. coyote2.gif

Overstock must bang up there watches pretty good. I have heard alot of complaints about watches from them. Sorry for your problems. But hey learn from your mistakes as they say. I have not nor ever will purchase from overstock. Just to MANY DOA's from them.
