Oh I'd love to be in Perth for 2 or 3 days right now. But even my 32 degrees F is a heatwave compared to those over in the midwest right now. Looks like todays hight may get to 45. If I lived in the midwest i would be shut in for all this. With my health I could not risk getting out in it. You guys stay warm. Don't forget the longjohns and mittens. :)

Can't really breathe outside....hurts the lungs, so may forget about getting the mail today. We're not quite as bad as some of you... -16 earlier, but has crawled up to 1 right now. A happy camper I'm not. Pax, good question: how did the pioneers manage. They were tougher than we??? Last edited on Fri Jan 16th, 2009 12:15 pm by tny795 |

Wheres the global warming???? Could use some right about now. "Only" got down to -4* last night. 2* right now. The coldest I have ever been in was -28*back in march '94. That was one cold day. I drove 11 miles to work and the temp gauge in my truck never moved off cold. Had no heat at all for the ride to work. BRRR!

Stay out of that stuff Toni. If anyone dose not have to be out in it stay inside where it is warm and cozy. About to drink another hot cup of coffee for you all.

Methinks I've just about had it with you and Ken and your sufferings with warmth and sunshine. Did you originate from the East? Most citizens in the west have done so. Remembering what it was like is NOT the same as living through it! We are today's pioneers; we're the tough ones. Whilst you and the others are . . .
