Never could wrap my brain around the logic of expensive leather on a chunky tool diver, and rubber on a warm day is not pretty, unless you're under water for most of it... but these Maratc Composite Straps are light, comfortable, inexpensive, and dive-ready. A nice solution in my book. Love how the blue stitching compliments the hour hand of my BaliHa'i... love this frick'n watch!

Dang they look pretty, and I agree with you about the cool look on the BH. What about comfort, JD - do they wrap arounmd the wrist, or are they a bit stiff and starchy? Beautiful pickups, good sir! IanM hand6.gif

They are extremely comfortable—not stiff at all. A good trick for "break-in" fit is to give them a good folding bend at about an inch from the bar end (the end closest to the watch case) which will give a natural curved fit around your wrist. Do this before installation so you don't stress the bars.

Not so great for large wrists though. I also found the two (2) I have to fit a little loose. They kinda wiggle and "snap." Stu

What brand straps are you sporting and how large are your wrists? The straps I've posted above are Maratac from The Military Watch Resource, which have a solid fit on my 7 3/4" wrist with 5 additional holes to expand from.

Your straps and the decision to match them up to your watches are excellent, JD. hand6.gif I am partial to that Balihai of yours. Something really great about those hands. Have you tried mixing up the straps? Like for the Balihai, use the blue stitched strap for the buckle end and the orange stitched strap for the strap point. Those 2 colors (blue and orange stitches) will then pick up the 2 hands of the Balihai.

VERY cool indeed, great looking straps... love the watches too I would liek to see the blue stich strasp on the Barracuda and Orange Stitch strrap on the BH! I gotta get me one of the orange one for my Sea Angler, I think it'd complement it 100% in color and style and material The BH is indeed a beauty.... I thought I always liked the Barracuda more... but seeig the, side by side... wow!!! tough choice! What's the middle one? I cannot read it... thx and CONGRATS!!smile8.gif Last edited on Thu Nov 5th, 2009 12:30 pm by Jeep99dad |
