I purchased the Dievas vintage 3646 from Anders and it arrived the next day as promised (a true gentlemen to deal with!). I have owned a few Panerais in the past and has actually owned a PAM232 which is a similar hommage to the 3646. I was afraid I won't be happy with the Dievas 3646 but Anders reassured me that I won't be disappointed.

I won't be comparing the Dievas with Panerais as it isn't fair from a price point of view.

What I like about the Dievas vintage 3646 is that I can wear it everyday without the worries of ruining a hard to own piece. The Dievas also has a true vintage feel to it right here right now! I realized the acrylic crystal and the orangey/yellow lume adds to the vintage feel. I have also replaced the stock strap without any problems. The screws and the wire lugs held up well. The packaging is impressive for it's price point. Though for me packaging is the least important part in a watch purchase, it does add to the special ownership experience.

The unitas 6497 is a robust movement, it is essentially a higher range of ETA movements. Though the winding is a little hard on first try, I hope it will loosen as time goes (I experienced this on hand-wound watches that I haven't used for quite sometime).  I cannot comment on it's accuracy at this point in time.

Now for the negatives, the strap isn't worthy of this watch. There are plenty of $20 straps that are better made. Furthermore, the strap that came with the watch was too long for my 6 3/4" wrist. It's good it's a standard 26mmx26mm strap therefore it is easy to find a good replacement to your own liking. The buckle with the GPF MOD engraving is worthy to the hommage (Anders has done his homework well), as it adds to the vintage war-time feel of the watch. Very well done with the buckle!

Overall this watch is a winner! Since changing straps are easy, just change the strap on this baby and it will feel and look more than it's asking price. If it costs $1k, I would still find it a bargain but it's only costs half that!

Welcome to 3T. Great looking shots of a real nice homage. I got the Kampfschwimmer from Anders myself and have been enjoying it thoroughly. You are right about the strap, but that is easily remedied. I am having trouble though as I am somewhat of a strap novice and am confused by the many choices. I also don't want to break the bank! Not sure what type of strap would compliment the Kampfschwimmer. You have done extremely well with the 3646 and your strap choice.

Welcome to 3T again and enjoy your Dievas!

hey hwilsdorf,
that looks really really good. Good choice of strap, the stiching goes with the vintage lume and red gives it that modish look. Anders should have red strap as an option for this vintage series.  ohh and welcome to the forum!!smile8.gifsmile8.gif

paxman, maybe get strap like bluish tint strap to go with the blue kamfshcwimmer hands?? or like hwilsdorf something with yellow stiching?? A work colleague got this strap for his AP.and its stunning....but costs a lot of $$$.

howdy paxman!

For the kampschwimmer, look at vintage tan straps or distressed straps. Im not sure whether the oxblood strap would look good on the kampschwimmer due to the blue hands. Beige stitching would also help as it will match the lume. Cheers!

Strapworks (Jonathan Kiu) sells tan vintage distressed straps but it's a little dear at over $100ea. But it will look wicked though!

Cheers

Jason

Not to hijack but isn't there a Dievas like that one with blue hands and markers?

It must be the Dievas Kampfschwimmer you are talking about.
