I agree...exhibition backs are way overdone these days...I love my tauchmeister divers because they have this big convex bubble like stainless steel back that gives the impression of robustness....I am of the school that if it can go wrong, it will go wrong...

I also believe in watches as tools as well as watches as works of art...works of art are done by hand by individuals.  I very much appreciate the beauty of a hand decorated and/or skeletonized movement....I'm not sure I'd wish to pay a premium to own one.

I am very hard on watches and would hate to put a big fat gouge in my new $8000 watch....
