Well...I realize that the Dievas Vortex has been all the rage lately (and for good reason), but when I stumbled on this like new Dievas Flieger Timer in the preowned market at a "cannot-pass-up" price, I could not resist jumping on it.  With only 50 total pieces, finding one in the preowned market is a very rare occurance.

This is #31 and honestly the seller underadvertised the excellent condition of this piece.  I closely inspected the watch and cannot even tell that the thing was ever worn...straps and watch head are immaculate (great for me and I feel lucky to have stumbled onto it!!!).

This is my very first "Flieger-style" watch (but I am a virgin no more!!!).  Really like the unique take that Dievas took with this Flieger...from the design/styling to the color pallete...this watch stands out and looks like nothing else out there IMO.

The Dievas custom strap that comes with this piece is, without question, THE SOFTEST strap that I have ever experience in watchdom (I am by no means a watch veteran especially compared to all the great experienced WIS's here at 3T, but this strap is supremely SOFT and COMFY).  Love the custom stamping on this strap including the serial number on the keeper.  Also love the super thick (cord-like)stitching of the standard strap (it also came with the extra vintage brown which looks cool, but for now it is staying on the standard custom strap).

The Case - the casework on this thing is a thing of beauty hearteyes.gif...you really need to hold this thing in your hand and inspect it closely to appreciate the attention to detail (hopefully some of the pics show this).  My understanding is that this case is Fricker built with additional hand working by Dievas own expert watchmaker (it certainly looks like it!!!).  Very nice stuff here.

The Movement - Very cool (60's vintage) ETA 2452 which beats at a leisurely 18,000 beats per second.  This is my first ETA 2452 and it is fun to watch the unique red seconds hand make its way around the dial, very different heart-beat than any watch I own.  Very cool!!!

Thumbs-up Anders for a super job here on the Flieger Timer!!!!ThumbsUp02.gif

I've got a keeper here!!!

Some great pics have been posted by the great 3T'ers out there, but here are some of mine:
