Honestly I believe those critics (a select few) are bias.  They criticized that the Reef Ranger was not unique, lume was sparse, it's over priced, and its not truly "Swiss Made".   I found that these same critics (not employed in the watch industry nor highly regarded) can often be found responding negatively in other threads or forums about several different watch manufacturers.  I won't go as far as to say that they are purposely pillaging threads with false accusations, but there does appear to be a pattern.

The Reef Ranger more than fulfills or meets my standards and I believe it also answers those above criticisms.  (this is my opinion and not meant to offend anyone)I prefer boutique brands.  Boutique brands often offer a higher level quality and a small amount of exclusivity.  I don't want to wear the same watch as my neighbor or my partners at work.  Boschett is still a small brand that offers a limited quantity of watches.  This watch may not be as unique as the Boschett Cave Dweller or the Benarus Megalodon but its style cues really set this watch apart.

The bezel reminiscent of coral with its beveled high polished edge is elaborate and always catches the corner of my eye.  It adds an entirely different dimension to the watch.  I seriously think that this watch will look good on anybodys wrist.  And although its an oxymoron, the dial is a vibrant black and the polished indices are very fetchy.

Price point? Please...  Marcello is quite expensive and their watches house an "Elabore" 2824.  While the Reef Ranger contains a "Top" grade.  This watch is not a torch but it's lume is more than satisfactory.

As for being truly "Swiss Made" I have no idea.  It obviously must meet the standards given to print this on the dial.  I am sure if you ask Keith he will answer all of your questions.

I have learned which watches I like and dislike the hard way.  I have bought and sold and returned more watches than I can remember.  Recently I purchased a watch from a highly regarded manufacturer for $1400 and what I received was a dissapointment.  It had both scratches and some dirty lume.  Before I had bought the watch the CEO often evaded my easy to answer questions and once I requested that the watches flaws be corrected I received an unsatisfactory response.

My newest lesson learned is that the man you buy the watch from is just as important as the watch you buy.  With that said,  Keith is the most genuine and terrific CEO I have come across.  Steve at Benarus is also quite nice.  Keith answered all of my questions, never evading and always completely honest.  He's a great guy. I am can sleep at night knowing that I gave him my money rather than the last guy.
