I wanted to address a myth created by another company as far as the Crux case and the placement of the lug holes being too close to the case thus not allowing the use of straps,NATO/ZULU or even a bracelet.
....First of all many of you here on 3T have seen the various pics I have posted with my CX-4 on a variety of straps including a thick ZULU....so that myth should be put to rest imo.
....Second of all the placement of the lug hole. The other company owner claimed it needed to be moved back another 1mm....well from my measurements that would place the hole very near the end of the lug not leaving much room for error.
....When Kenneth sent me my watch he asked I check out the issue that was being claimed and I did....He mentioned all he could see was that the lug screw fit very tight in the hole....within minutes an answer and solution was found by Kenneth and I.
.....The hole placement was fine but what I had discovered was the lug screw used in this case was 2mm thick....quite thick and much thicker than all of my divers using this type of lug screw system....all of them using either a 1.5.or 1mm thick screw ....it is true a NATO/ZULU will not fit by sliding it through with the 2mm screws in place but can be installed like a regular strap. It is true a bracelet will not fit with the 2mm screws but it isn't because of the hole placement but because of the thickness of the actual screw. The mesh and watchadoo bracelets I own which are many are only equipped to take a 1.5mm lug screw or less as the hole in the bracelets is not large enough to accept a 2mm screw.
....The solution?....I tried a 1.5mm lug screw using the same hex heads with my CRUX and the NATO/ZULU slipped through with the screws in place and the bracelets all fit fine....so the solution that Kenneth will be providing with the CRUX watches is a extra set of 1.5mm lug screws with each order for those who want the ease of using a NATO/ZULU without having to remove the screws and to accommodate all aftermarket bracelets....the 2mm lug screws will still come with the case/strap also as it makes for a very nice strap fit filling the lug area....problem solved without having to trash 300 cases!
...the use of a lug screw just .5mm thinner solved what seemed to be a stressful problem for another...TY Kenneth and CRUX!thankyou.gif
