Hi guys,

I'm glad you guys like what you see. Just to clarify the Antiqua brand is a totally separate venture from moVas.

moVas is all about modern, new designs, whereas the Antiqua brand is about vintage military homage designs. The Antiqua brand will also deal with other items like belts, wallets, bags, and other leather/ fashion accessories.

For the DSS1953, it is a homage of the first DSS. It is unlike the Helberg in that it is as close to a 1:1 design. Naturally it is unwearable, but that's not really the point of this piece. It is a true nod to the historical value of this piece. It will be unlikely that you see many variations of this beast as it's just not a very popular design to put out there, and yes it's not a catalogue case.

We will have 2 different versions when we launch it, first will be the exact dimensions as the originals, and another will be a more wearable version that is about 48mm lug-lug. It will also come with either a sapphire or an acrylic. The current sample is with a sapphire, and it's really heavy.... I thought the moVas diver was heavy, this is another level.

Current thought is that it will be housing a Sellita SW220, and we are stock-piling these movements for all the other antiqua models coming soon.

I think you've got a very cool thing going here between the Movas and Antiqua brandings Sean. Awesome to offer a true to the original DSS1953 homage (the original 1953 prototype version done by Rolex) with the 'difficult to wear' dimensions offered including the long lug-to-lug distance. The 48mm lug-to-lug model that you are offering should fit just about everyone even though that serious crystal will challenge door jams everywhere, but that is just the point of this one. thumbsup.gif
