 Well, I have definatly been one of those not singing praises about Rolex in the past, and laught long and hard of all those that went bonkers over "broken" rolex dials, old dead tritium and all other flaws and quarks that made up the vintage Rolex world ...
But now, after I have owned five of the brand, I ended up falling head over heels in love with this 1977 1680 Submariner. It is in extremly good condition for the age, and there are only small switrls to be seen on the unpolished case and bracelet.
I currently also own the lates maxi case submariner, and eventhoug that has far superior movement, metall used in both case and bracelet, bracelet and clasp and actually really good WORKING lume as compared th the old 1680 ...well, the oldi still is the one that really gets my heart racing. It is true lovetoon1.gif and I`m afraid I have started down road that will eventually lead to buying overpriced-old-cracked dial and corroded hands-watches.
But man, they age nice:0)
