There are a couple of dozen concentric cirular ridges on each of my 3 sub-dials of the 9g-600. It makes each sub-dial sort of look like a miniature vinyl record. This causes the paint to be distributed on a 3-dimensional surface which causes it to appear irrregular from many angles and distances.

Seems to be "as designed" but I am curious if others see the same. Ken, I gather even with your 2x magnification you don't see any concentric circular ridges on your dial eh? Hmmm... I wonder how much of this is me being obsessive compulsive, or whether I have a different version of the wach.

Still, I guess I can't complain considering I get compliments on it, it keeps time to within 5 seconds a day, and it runs for about 42 hours if left on my nightstand.

I really like the sapphire crystal- it looks like there's nothing there at all... and the charcoal gray background is so easy to look at even in full sunlight. No reflection.
