I think this is the movement in my Zodiac Calame Sport Chrono. Edited to add..I was wrong about that, but it IS the movement in my Speedmaster Auto. Last edited on Fri Jun 16th, 2006 11:33 am by Foster |

If it has a 37 jewels written on the rotor yes it is. But it has 25 jewels written on the rotor it is more likely to be a eta 2824 with a piggy back depraz module. Foster wrote: I think this is the movement in my Zodiac Calame Sport Chrono.

Well mine says 25 jewels and it's definitely a 2824 base movement. Either way, I have heard that when these types of movements get serviced (2894, 2824, etc) the module gets replaced because it is too complicated for the average watchmaker to take apart. BTW, I thought your first post mentioned the 2824 for some reason. My mistake. Last edited on Fri Jun 16th, 2006 10:20 am by Foster |

You are correct on the module being replaced, reason it require special tools to put back together:D Anybody can tear thing apart, putting it back together is a pain without the proper tools. The main reason I posted this thread was to make people aware when shopping. you have vendors that advertise eta 2894, but it is not, if the jewel count is less than or more than 37 jewel a (Caution light) should come on.
