Hay I've owned several Invictas all of them but one my younger brother has and one went to a friend. So far no problems. But all were quartz and I just got tired of quartz and messing with batteries. LOL :D

But there have been allot of folks having problems like you. I just hope you get the watch back in great shape soon. ;)

I know I should probably have my head examined but, I took a chance on sunday and ordered an Invicta mechanical chrono.mistake.gif  The price was right and I liked the looks of the watch.  It will be my first invicta.  So far, I have only bought 1 watch that I wasnt happy with and it was an Adeekay.  So, I will say a prayer to the watch god that all goes well with this invicta.:?

Timba its unfortunate this had to happen. Hopefully your story will turn out ok with a repaired watch returned albeit after a lengthy period.

We have all heard the stories of poor customer service from Invicta. CS is clearly not a concern for them. Selling watches is.

We have all heard the stories of crappy QC. I've run into it myself with one of the watches which I think they got right losing a caseback screw the first day I wore it.

This makes buying Invicta a crapshoot. I really think they are capable of making a good inexpensive watch but have thus far failed to make much which puts them at the next level. Imho to reach that next level you must have stringent QC followed by exceptional CS. We all know nothing is perfect. But in many reported cases with this brand, many things are far from perfect and the customer is left to twist in the wind!

Regardless, I sincerely hope this turns out well for you Timba. Please keep us updated.

Just have to learn to resist the temptation to buy one... no matter how many flex pays they offer or how great that $1299 watch that they are offering with 5 flex pays of $29.99 might seem to be...

$900.00 for an Invicta.... Ouch!

I personally have had EXTREMELY poor customer service from Invicta in the past. I received such blatant disregard for customer service that I sold the several Invictas I had in the collection at the time and will never purchase another.

Timba, I really hope it all works out for you and you get your watch back...repaired. :D

Not to rub salt in the wound, but

INVICTA SUCKS!

I have had bad experience with their customer service, although I do have some good watches from their early years (which I am getting ready to unload just because I can't stand looking at the Invicta name).

You are right Teddy. I just got off the phone after attempting to call Invicta and apologize. First I was on hold for 20 minutes, then I got transferred seven times and finally they hung up on me.

Boy am I ever SORRY...crap.gif

Sorry to hear again about INVICTA bad services.

Lots of complains about them, any kind, all over. I was planning to buy a CORDUBA diver from them, than changed my mind. Ignorat, brazen faced duys.
"Timba", keep calling them, and file official complain by registered mail. If no action taken in 2 weeks, send same letter, copied to local Chamber of Commers AND BB Bureau,  this will put some fire under some as**s:):).

Good luck!

This would be a great follow-up on a old thread.

I wonder if Costco who sells Invicta, will take the watch back when it falls apart.

I was just ready to pull the trigger on one of there Pro Divers and this thread has me wondering now. I am new and only know what I have heard on the TV show from SNBC. Is this not a good brand? What should I look at for my first dive watch? I do not dive but like the look of a big heavy watch. I would prefer a mechanical watch. You have a nice forum here.

Take at look at any of the threads here about Invicta.  More heartache than Happiness especially concerning there poor CS, also some watches are very poor quality in fit and finish.

The best watch is the 8629 from back when.

I think everyone here has had Invicta's, I have had a couple of them and mostly gave them away as the hype was greater than the watches being sold.

Take advice and stay away.

Don't become an Invictim!

Seiko makes a great first dive watch, IMO.  What am I saying -- they don't need to be a "first" dive watch -- they're attractive and a good value no matter how many watches you own.  They have lots of looks to choose from.

I don't think we need to be opening up 2 yr old dead threads in order for anyone to know Invicta sux...even when you get a good one you get slaughtered if you try to sell it and in reality might get 20% of what you paid and that is if you are lucky so my advice to all new WIS is stay away from Invicta and all the hype that Slopnbc and their so called sales forum try to brainwash you with... if you must own one wait until you find one at a price so low you won't feel suckered and believe it or not that place will be Slop as they always drop the prices to rock bottom within 6mos....that always made us feel good years ago to see a watch we bought months earlier for $500. on Slop show up on their site for $200.....I have Invictas that are now 10 yrs. old all hyped back then by Eyal as becoming true collectibles worth much more and I understand they are still hyping it like that... well...BULLSHIT...they're worth half at best...and I say that cuz I'm trying to make myself feel good!dog smile.gif

when watching that show always remember that the watch cost much more than the 1st value pay they try bashing into your brain over and over until you forget the watch cost 6 times that and you will be paying another 5 payments before you own... so always ask yourself this ..."if I had to pay for it all at once would I buy it?" waving.gif

...start researching brands/movements as this is knowledge and knowledge in this hobby will save you money and put much nicer watches on your wrist that will sustain the test of time! mini me.gif

There is some good in them. A $50 dollar auto Inslicta is great for mowing the lawn, changing motorcycle tires, pool diving, reef diving, cliff diving, kite flying, knife fighting, and midget tossing, in short, any activity where there is the SLIGHTEST danger of one of my nice watches getting hurt, scratched, dinged, or broke, an Invicta comes in handy, you have to admit that. I wont wear my Pan underwater, hell, I wont wear my Cuda underwater, but I WILL wear that Infixta all day long in the water, and not give a poop about it. So I still believe they are not entirely useless. AND. they dont look THAT bad. But I will NOT pay more than 75 for one. and I believe that if you can pick up a 50 dollar watch, that does EXACTLY what I need it to do, (tell decent time in hazardous situations, ) then what is the problem with that? I wont pay ridiculous money for them, I wont show them off, I will nod and smile and drool when a Non WIS compliments them. But if it breaks. well. it was 50 bucks. and I think EVERYONE on here has at least ..5? watches? So what that to us? nada. Im not extolling them, nor defending them. But if i have a race, or a dive or a bike ride or a jog or a shootout, I am reaching for that Invicta, LONG before I even think about reaching for my Seikos,or Benarus, or Orsa or Panerai  or ANYTHING else for that matter. I Just like the rest TOO much. Intrictya? Alive or dead, makes no difference to me. (ok, I really DO like my Corduba, Shoot me)

Absolutely good point, RoninThumbsUp02.gif.

But in my case, I'd pick up a trusty, reliable, super-worth-it Seiko 5. Alley fight? Bar room brawl? I'd grab a Seiko diver anyday.yahoo.gif

So all that Trash Talking I did, I clean my pool yesterday, No deeper than 8 feet. Wearing my 45 dollar Inpooptca Sea Ghost. (in Yellow face might I add) and I go this morning to put it away, and what do I see, of course. The face is all misted over inside the Crystal. YAY ME! Good thing its rated for 200meters.

I have just finished reading this thread and felt like grabbing a meat cleaver and chopping my hand off at the wrist to remove my Invicta faster than undoing the buckle.
To be honest they are alright, I would not get one of thier high end watches the cheap and cheerful ones will do me, I would cry if I damaged my Seikos but would just fire off a few swear words for my Invicta pro diver and move on.

But I do not think I will get another one, not after reading this thread or Dread as the dark cloud of hate and disgust covers this topic. I dont want you lot to hate me and I will try to edit out the logo for future posts subtlelaugh.gif
Most likely just not post with one in....now where is that cleaver?

Wow I can't believe this. I have been into collecting for about a year and it was all Invicta, and now I am starting to get away from them and into different divers. Great read tho.
