Sector is an Italian firm which previously owned the rights to Invicta in Europe and produced a few models under their tutelage.

Most are typical Italian design and flair, but they are supposedly good watches running the gamut from quartz to automatics in their 800/850 series.

I think Randy G. actually owned/owns a few of these models. (VERIFY!)

Lalo bought the rights back when he began directing the current operations of Invicta in the directions you now know.

I think their web site is non functioning at the moment. I also think I remember that they were absorbed by The Opera Group recently. LINK:http://www.qwentes.it/site/default.asp?portfolio=true&client=sectorwatches&ImageNumber=2

Fairly sure Oscar or Randy or others can embellish on this for you.

Here is a link on their "No Limit" promotional program for athletes: http://www.oceanrowing.com/ampearl/courage_to_excel.htm

Here is a good composite of their current watches for sale: http://www.4abnet.com/sector/sectormidpage.html

I was one of the first retailers of the Sector brand here in Az. in the early 90's and they do build one bulletproof watch for the dollar.

Most of their line is swiss quartz, which I dont really care for (quartz,Blech!) but they do have Swiss autos as well.

Overall a great durable watch for the dollar.

Sector Group is huge and is owned by the Bulgari Group/Opera Funding. The brand Sector is known for their sport and diving watches. They stopped claiming Invicta as being part of their group in 2002 which doesn't match with anything we hear from Invicta. Invicta US showed up here when Opera Funding took over. Opera Funding is an organization that takes companies public. Everyone goes silent when you mention Invicta to these guys. It makes me wonder if they are just pulling the strings

The Sector Group makes a lot of low end watches under various names, but, their own Sector Brand watches have a very good reputation and are not cheap. If you can find one of their automatic dive watches on eBay, grab it.
