Hi Willieboy, This is indeed the new Triton model; I really like it a lot!!! The main difference besides the aesthetics is the lume is much better than the previous version. Not sure how or what Debaufre did to brighten and strengthen the lume, but they definitely got it right this time.  Another neat difference is the lugs are now hex bolts vs. standard lug pins. You'll have to see it in person to know what I mean, but the watch ships with a special hex tool for strap changes. Very cool. Now I'm just waiting for the metal band to be released.... Hex bolts sure sound like a step in the right direction. I think your watch also has the ETA movement vs. the Selitta movement. I like how the date box is now a lumed circle. Very classy. |

I have puchsed two Debaufres so far andd have been very happy with both. The first was the Nav B 44mm with the diamon cut crown.   The second one I just received on Friday 1/30/09 The Csar in SS with two straps the dark brown and the Mustard brown. I like the mustard better. This is a very comfortable watch at 44mm. The cron does not hurt the wrist and the fit and finish is perfect      |

Anyone know of a Euro distributor that one can get a Steinhart watch from and shipped State side? They have some really nice watches that Debaufre does not offer on this side of the pond and I like to get my hands on some. Plus I kinda like the Steinhart name a little better. Thanks I just didn't know if they did that considering the whole Steinhart/Debaufre flap. Seems with the Dollar eeking up on the Euro that going that route might save some coin as well. Hey Danny - just to confirm, yes, both companies will ship anywhere, i.e. Debaufre ships to Europe, Asia, etc and Steinhart will ship to the US. I will add here the usual warning about overseas shipping; check your local import procedures so you know what to expect as far as taxes, tariffs, broker fees, customs delays, etc. You would think that things like this would be standardized, but I have heard stories, both good and bad, about a wide variety of experiences folks have had when ordering overseas, either from the US to abroad or the other way around...so again, just a reminder to try and check as thoroughly as possible with your local government regulations so you know what to expect and are not taken by surprise by additional fees, taxes or broker bills.... |

Hey Dan....the orange/black bezel was offered by DeBaufre last years but is no longer in their line-up....DeBaufre is having a sale on the GMT right now and they do still have the pepsi and coke bezels available...tell them you are a 3T member and they will take great care of you hand6.gif The eta 2893 that DeBaufre uses is sweet and winds ultra smooth...mine runs well within COSC specs and has awesome lume to boot! perfect.gif http://www.debaufre.com/ |
