I couldn't be with the guys in Chicago so I bought myself a Daniel Mink Day/Date to make me feel better. This is one monster Mink....I think it is a 2005 model...Swiss Made...Model is a Tempus C1512... if you can't tell from my lousy pic it has a large Day across the top and the date at 3:00...really nice stainless bracelet with solid double screw in end links..measures from 2:00 to 8:00 is 50 MM ...from 9:00 to 3:00 is 46 MM including the crown... a square round case with a round face and domed saphire crystal...ETTA 2834 movement....military inspired face. This is making me feel better about not going to Chicago. Wish I could take better pics. I know there isn't a lot known about Daniel Mink since the Company was sold but here is an interesting article I found which states that the folks who were running the Company before it was sold now own it. You can really see and feel the quality in the watch. It doesn't have a display back but it really is a great watch. The dial reminds Jackie and I of the old school clocks that had the day and date on the walls of our classrooms when we were kids. IMO it is a unique addition to my collection. The watch certainly wasn't inexpensive but it is very well made. One more thing I am not a person that care about LUMI much but the LUMI on this one the best of any watch I own and the best or as good as I have ever seen !!!!It GLOWS in broad daylight !!! Hope you are all enjoying yourself while in Chicago...my advise is to start setting traps for Minks ! http://www.thecannongroup.us/images/danielmink/danielmink.pdf Last edited on Sat Jan 21st, 2006 05:50 pm by |
