I build wooden ships/planes!! When you spend most of your time trying to find a comfortable position to sit, lay down or stand.(injury) I find my self standing a lot. I've found that I can put this time to good use and do a bit of work at my bench. It's very time consuming and meticulous but being retired "Time" I have a lot of!!  K :?

I usually build kits but I have built about 10 that were from scratch just off drawings/plans dementioning my own wood/lumber. The hard part is finding all the hardware and having it meet the size/scale. It really helps me keep my mind off the pain. :? If you know what I mean?:( K

Thank You!! Pipes, how cool is that? Great!!  I also make writing instruments. My mini-lathe gets a pretty good work out too. Sounds like we both have back problems. I injured my back 10 years ago at work. Had two surgeries that both failed. Hence the retirement. I know how you feel. Sorry abou the bad back!!:X Kurtpipes wrote: FANTASTIC work dude !!!!
