Henry Leland was the founder of Lincoln motors cars.  he also was responsible for olds and caddy.  He built the lincoln as one of the worlds fastest and best cars.  had mutilple carburetors.  but alas it was way to expensive and went belly up.  At the auction for the lincoln motor cars company, Henry ford bought it and revived the brand.  He needed a luxo cruiser to match GM and chrysler.

you probably know this though.  when you see a truck called a REO.  that is the initials of randsom E . Olds.  when he sold his interest in olds to leyland and others  ie general motors he started his truck company.
