I don't know what this dish is called other than a bacon appetizer log. I heard guys on sports radio describing it so I had to try it out. You start with a pound of raw bacon that you weave into a mesh much like the old lawn chairs from the late 60s. You then put down a layer of pancetta over this . Then take your favorite raw sausage remove the meat from the casing and spread it over the the pancetta. You then roll it up like a jelly roll and cook it on indirect heat on a charcoal fire for about two hours. it really tastes great. although one basic rule of life is everything tastes better wrapped in bacon.

I've heard them talked about but never had one. Sounds really good. :)
