The Dievas Vortex landed and it is absolutely Awesome!...TY Anders for the super quick service! thankyou.gif

My 1st impression was WOW!...the simplicity of the dial and case design reminded me of a vintage field watch worn by military that infused all the neccessities one would need from a crisp clean dial to a divers bezel that could be easily read through the domed saph crystal....the lume is amazing and the Ti blasted case finish is flawless! The crown at the 8 is very comfortable and unobtrusive to the wearer and located just above is a automatic HRV!...this is a true tactical tool watch from the word go imho!  perfect.gif

The Fricker/German construction is on par with watches costing much more in comparison to some of the higher end watches in my collection and Anders has once again brought us a truly awesome watch at a more than fair price...the Ti is light as a feather...you hardly know your'e wearing a watch!  yourock.gif

Here are some Q&Ds and I will get some more pics up with a lume shot asap....

That absolutely looks GORGEOUS !!!!  Love it.

Exactly where Ive always thought the crown should be for a watch worn on the left wrist.

Well Oscar....Wow you've got a HOT ONE here!!!hearteyes.gifhearteyes.gifhearteyes.gifhearteyes.gifhearteyes.gifhearteyes.gifhearteyes.gif

Man...I very much like the design on this new Dievas Vortex (great job Anders!!!!).perfect.gif

I don't mean to be name dropping watch brands or anything, but when I first saw the Vortex...I immediately saw some reflections of Kobold designs in the simplicity of the case, lugs, and dial design...but it adds that extra bit of Dievas "something different" to the mix with the execution of the 8o'clock crown (love that).  I mean it as the highest compliment to be comparing this to some well regarded designs by Kobold!!!

The case finish on this looks absolutely spectacular (Oscar...your pics always allow us to get a real "up and personal" look at the timepieces...thanks very much....).

Congrats and as always, thank you again for the spectacular, drool worthy PICS!!!Thumbsup3.gif

TY Guys!....I felt the same Stew when I 1st saw the Vortex and I immdeiately dropped it on a green/grey Zulu for the true tactical effect I have been looking for in a watch! hand6.gif...the Vortex can easily hold hands with my Kobold and in no way do I see the Vortex as an homage....you hear the word tactical being thrown around a lot these days by watch manufacturers but Anders has truly caught the image and the feel of a tactical tool watch imho! yourock.gif

It was a little confusing, the way I understood it was that 10 were available now and the rest later?

...Fricker and the other watch factories in Germany close for a month and Anders was lucky enough to have 10 completed before they closed hand6.gif

Currently, we only have about 10 pieces available. This was done before the summer holidays in Germany. And we had a launch party in our boutique yesterday. And so far a few has been sold. So we have a couple more we can send NOW(to the few lucky owners)!

The remaining orders will only be delivered by MID OCTOBER.

To take advantage of the pre-order price, a deposit of $195 will be required.

I'm just happy to get one of the first 10 and imo they will sell out so get your pre-order deposits in and take advantage of the $100. savings offered to 3T! yahoo.gif

TY Guys!...I finally decided on a Bond Zulu for now in keeping with the tactical concept but every strap combo I tried worked awesome imo...the crown position on the Vortex just makes this watch that much more unique and enjoyable....I'll get some pics of the equally nice packaging and caseback asap! thankyou.gif

Very Nice Oscar hand6.gif. I like that a lot. The funny thing is I 've gotten so out of touch with the happenings here, that I didn't even know it was coming out.

TY again everyone! thankyou.gif

Congrats to all who have ordered and you won't be diappointed...the Vortex is a awesome watch and Anders hit the nail on the head imho!  yourock.gif

I have been asked about how it compares to my Kobold and after some observation of the 2 together I can say the case & lugs are identical with the only difference being the crown location, size:Vortex 44mm/22mm lug...Kobold 45mm/24mm lug...Vortex has a auto HRV and the Kobold doesn't.Naturally the visible differences are the bezel/dial design. and that the Vortex is Ti.I believe the cases were made in the same factory...I could be wrong but once I do some comparison shots I believe you will think the same! perfect.gif

Very nice guys!! As someone else stated, I normally don't do Ti watches or ones without a date, but this one looks special. I've noticed that in Anders promo lume shot, the lume pip looks blue, but in the subsequent pictures, it appears green compared to the blue lume on the dial. Did that aspect of it change? Also, speaking of lume.....my obligitory "hows the lume" question has to be asked. Based on the pictures, it looks great, but I'd like to know if it sticks around a while.

Although the initial 10 have been sold, I'm seriously considering one of these; it looks really, really nice, and the domed crystal is killer.

Awesome watch!  I'm still confused.  Can I still pre-order this?  If so, when does the pre-order end and how many watches will be made?

great pics! Is it possible that you could post a picture from the Vortex next to the Benarus Moray, because I don't know if the Vortex is too big for me (especially the lugs length)! That would be awesome smile8.gif

Bloom - I generally don't do ti either, but it works with this watch. My first question to Anders was if he was thinking about a date dial. I generally like watches with dates, but I really liked the symmetry of the dial. The pip is green. The lume is pretty good. It does not have the knock your socks off initial lume of a C3 SL, but I do know that it lasts for a very long time. I checked it out after six hours yesterday, and it was still glowing. So that is good. It was glowing bright enough that I think it would have gone for another hour or two.

I have to agree.  This is a great looking watch on top of being a spectacular value.

I guess I will be drinking the Dievas Kool-Aid now as I have #101 on the pre-ordered.

Wow... #101... I thought the pre-orders were more limited. Otherwise I would have snagged #100 instead of #79!

I've got #167 for delivery estimated February 2010. I've no idea on what the final number will be?

The only info I could was that it wasn't a limited edition of any kind, but that individual watches would carry a serial number. I can live with that... can't wait to get my hands on it though :)

cheers

Bill
