I wrote them today about ordering the Tiger 064....all 4 of the divers are priced right imo and look awesome....site is in Italian but you can make out the specs and movements fairly easy...The Tiger 064 is 44mm with a eta 2892...just click on prodotti at the bottom of the site page and go to professional for the eta dive models....below right hand corner of the watch pic is the price in euros..hand6.gif

Interesting model with the "Plo-prof" bezel lock system! If the quality is top, it will be much watch for the buks! Saw some Squales before: Was expensives vintages...Do you know more O?

Will the Tiger is 516.euros a little over $700.us with a eta 2892 engine and the other 3 divers with eta 2824 engines are 387.euros around $527.us each...more than fair prices for a brand with a heritage imho.hand6.gif

It does look nice...and I have been very turned off by most divers today as they all look the same...this is different!

I caught a few sneak peaks of the hooded lug, blue bezel diver that looks pretty cool.  Thanks for the heads-up, will definately be keeping an eye on this one.

O, did they take your order? From what I understood, they won't accept orders from the U.S.

(and the prices shown include VAT, so theoretically, there prices are even better)

I think the VAT in Italy is 20%, so the pricing is really attractive at 20% less hand6.gif

Thanks, Oscar. The Tiger 064 looks good and especially so with the Ploprof button mentioned by William. I also love the rubber strap. Value overall, at those price points, is truly superior.hand6.gif

I e-mailed them yesterday in Italian and asked for total cost with shipping to the U.S and linked the forum stating there may be many WIS who would like to order as well on 3T....I hope to hear from them this week and I will keep everyone updated...I have been wanting a Tiger or really any Squale but was unwilling to pay the high vintage prices....this is a great way to own the same watch for less NIB imho.hand6.gif

The Tiger 64 doesn't really do anything for me, but that polished stainless one has that vintage Squale look that I like. I didn't even know Squale was still in business, but it's good info. Thanks Oscar.

....these Squale divers are supposedly using NOS cases and parts with new eta movements but not the original manufacturer...there is a long thread on these new Squale divers over at the Orolongiando Italian watch forum with loads of pics of the current models and vintage Squale from many manufacturers.......it's in Italian so break out your translaters.:D

This is the reply I recieved this morning from Squale. They have no problem selling in the U.S and the ordering/payment instructions are below.Shipping is 35,00 euros on all models, the prices on the site do not include VAT as speculated so the prices posted are the model prices.I also registered on their site where I plan on ordering from.

Squale was very quick to reply and courteous with the info needed for WIS in the states to order....they answered the e-mail I sent in English so language did not seem to be a problem...registering on the site needs translation but seems to be the best way to order imo as they will have all your shipping info on site...I'll let everyone know how that goes when I order as far as communication during and after the sale....btw these have been selling for a few years at least and have just recently hit the forums.hand6.gifhand6.gif

Oscar,

You really hit the nail in the head with this thread!!! Up until last week I was dead set on my grail watch the MKII Sea Fighter, I've always like the "vintage" style to it, modeled after Blancpains' Fifty Fanthoms watches I knew I had to eventually land one..

Then just last week I found a thread on WUS that brought up the same questions as you did, and i've had this dilemma ever since: do I want a homage or the watch after it's been modeled? Don't get me wrong, MKII watches are GREAT watches, i've admired the brand since I felt into this sicknesssubtlelaugh.gif, but the SF is modeled after the Squale, so right now i'm stuck in the middle both of this beauties...

I'm going on a trip to Europe next week, if I DO decide to buy the Squale (right now Squale is winning 60/40) then i'll be sure to post pics ASAP.. I did send an email to Squale and they were quick to respond and nice to deal with.

BTW, here's the model i'm speaking about (borrowed pic from a fellow watch lover ;))....

Hi,

My first post on this site.

Some breaking Squale news, there is a good chance that Princeton watch will be the US retailer for Squale within the month. I was told by Steve at Princeton that this shoud happen after Basel.

I'm really loving this serious watch.Drool_27.gif By the way, Oscar, how do you pronounce the brand? Skwa-leh or Squail? Thanks.

This is the Italian brand, not the French Manufacturer that no longer makes watches. So it would be something like SkWAHw-lay!

Thanks, Timewaster.ThumbsUp02.gif

I asked a few questions and yes, they used to be French before but now really Italian. Strong DNA in the brand's veins. I hope Princeton bags the distributorship so that it's easier for us in this part of the world to get these beauties.

Thanks, yes, they are 'in the air' as we speak. Should touch down early in the week; just cleared customs.

If you're interested in one, please let me know. For starters we're getting the 6 models you see here:

Squale Watches

If you have interest in anything else, let us know as we will grow the line here in the US.

Thanks
Marc
