- WHAT IS DIEVAS 6STEEL?

Dievas 6Steel is a propriety case hardening process developed by Dievas Watch Company in collaboration with our specialized high tech metallurgy partner. Firstly, our premium 316L CNC watch case is heated in a mixture of carbon gases at precised low temperature to allow diffusion of atoms. This intricate process is duplicated repeatedly over long hours to superimpose supersaturation and concentration of carbon.

The sudden immense energy from carbon atoms accumulation results in 30µm layered hardening of the case to 1300 Hv on the Vickers scale(6 times the orignal hardness of normal stainless steel). The toughened case is then put through a vacuum chamber for plasma coating to elevate the corrosion resistance, particularly sea water and sweat immunity. This multi layering process makes the 6Steel case an ideal candidate for use in sports and diving watches.

I have seen this watch.my love.gif It was on my wrist about 2 weeks ago and it looks better in person than on pictures. The red tint of the underside of the leather is actually richer and deeper than the red you see on the photo.

I don't know if you'll notice but at the balance end of the GMT hand is a tiny red "D", the logo of Dievas Watches. It's hardly discernable but adds some class to the execution and balances well with the "GMT".

Big Congrats, Anders!bravo.gif

GMT on the second hand is extremely unique and fresh which will definately separate it from the rest.  It will also take a little while to get used to, but we have to face CHANGE once in a while.

TY Anders for giving WIS a look inside the making of the Voyageur!...truly amazing craftsmanship with the new 6Steel and a top chronometer grade eta 2893 that is also decorated...and though there are other Swiss/German watch companies using these high end components none can match your price or even come close imho!thankyou.gif

I personnaly have no use for the GMT feature so I avoid GMT watches. But I must say that for the aficionado, it's a great quality watch for a very good price. I also appriciated the "making-of" report with pictures: That was a great idea and it's good to see by who and how it happen. Anders:you rock.gif

Thank You everyone for your well wishes and compliments.

Here are some detailed shots of the fine finishing that goes into the Voyageur GMT which puts many watches to shame. subtlelaugh.gif

Johnny: Alright mate. Ill stop doing it. subtlelaugh.gif

I just want everyone to know the sort of finishing they are expecting to see, which frequently is lost in pictures. This is also one of the major step we are taking to move towards fine watchmaking. And the 6Steel also means that the Voyageur GMT will look as good as new 10 years down the road.

Post some pictures when you get it mate. I am sure your photography will put our pictures to shame.

Sincerely
Anders

Received a couple of emails asking how long the offer will run. I think I missed it out in the first thread.

The Voyageur GMT will be ready next week. And the PreOrder price will only be valid till the watches are ready. After that it will be back to the regular price.

If there is a watch you will like to wear daily and still want it to look good after years. This is the watch for you.

Casual: Easy layout. Big enough to look casually fashionable.
Traveling: Good with the GMT complication.
Work: Satin brushed. Classy enough for most work wear.
Everyday watch: With the 6Steel case, it will be able to take the daily abuse and come out looking as good years down the road.

Versatility with the added toughness.

Sincerely
Anders
