You know my lust for all things satin...I just couldn't help it. Looks good, a bit more subtle. I always find a satin finish to appear more "solid" "hefty" etc Attachment: satinBM.jpg (Downloaded 53 times) Last edited on Tue Apr 11th, 2006 10:15 pm by |

I used a strip of sandpaper about 10 mm wide and used it on the tip of my finger. Going in 1 direction repeatedly. Kinda like those skateboarders in that half pipe ramp...I held the watch sideways and simply went into the scallops in one direction. Came out really cool! Now I am waiting on my Monster bracelet soon to arrive. May have to give that the satin subtle effect as well. ~Eric:P Last edited on Tue Apr 11th, 2006 10:02 pm by |

I am insane that way...I will focus for hours if need be. However, this job took about 30 min. I just kept lining the bezel scallop up with the case scallops and buffed away. I then did all the little accents like on the lip of the bezel. So now it is completely satin. Bracelet should be here by Friday. ;-) Thanks Gaspar! |

Some time you should try a Bergeon No. 5444 abrasive and ruber block. This one is fine powder, you can also get them in larger grit. They are easy on the watch and give a consistant finish quick. I like brushed finishes too. |

Lot of the time is spent ensuring the even finish. |

Black Monster has since been Re-polished. The satin look was nice but took too much away from the Monster. So we shine again! Attachment: rebling.jpg (Downloaded 32 times) |

You are not alone. We are sick bunch. Some watches look better with a bit of shine. This is one of them in my opinion. My old Invicta 9937 diver was satin. It looked amazing. |

That should look great! It's amazing how you can change the watch for the better with just a little sanding here and there. Post those pix asap Gaspar. ~Eric O.A. Gaspar wrote: EricAldovino wrote: |

Here is the BM with new bracelet arrived yesterday. I sized it using only a thumb tack and 1 of the removed excess push pins from the BM bracelet. I used the push pin to hold the collar in place while I push the pushpin against it with the thumb tack. I sanded the endlink to a nicer satin sheen. the chrom effect on this particualr link looked too much for me. Dig the yellow scheme...hmmm maybe?
