Ken I saw that watch last time I checked out that site. I think it is a great looking watch. I would have not even hesitated except for May being a huge present buying month in my family. There are four immediate family members with May birthdays. I can't even express how much I like the looks of that watch. Wish I could see one in person. Get it Ken. I wanna live vicariously through you.:P Last edited on Sat May 27th, 2006 11:44 am by deidler |

I happen to 1st see it there, although I believe that it is overpriced there for a preowned watch as described.........................for a mere $29 (shipped) more, there are several other reputable sites on the net where it can BNIB. (but that was the best pic I could find!) Not to say anything negative about "Watchseller" as they are as honest and reputable as they come!!!!

I'm looking at the lugs and wondering if it is an "integrated" strap like the Seiko Knights. As I'm not a big rubber strap fan, I'm wondering, if it is "integrated", if there is a leather strap od SS bracelet option!

That particular model doesn't seem to be a part of the Mido Collection anymore?,but the OceanStar Captain on Strap is Way Awesome There are some other sites that have a Similar Model on Bracelet but without the ratchet Bezel.... http://www.mido.ch/en/home

Ken, I've got one and can attest to the solid and reliable nature of this piece. I got mine off the Bay for a few ducats less than what you are looking at...believe me, after postage it was a wash compared to the Watchseller price. The Bay seller I used has one right here. http://cgi.ebay.com/MIDO-OCEAN-STAR-SPORT-AUTOMATIC-DIVERS-M852245893-NEW_W0QQitemZ8935357662QQcategoryZ31387QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem Very reliable 2836-2 movement (MIDO enhanced) with a solid case and sharply edged bezel. You won't struggle to grab the bezel, in fact you better be careful. The stap is a nice resin bit that is very comfortable and easily cleaned after dirty duty. The saphire crystal catches the sun and gives you a couple different color looks depending on the angle, from a deep blue to a rich grey. Don't think the indices are gold, but nice clean design with great lume. Sunlight causes a pretty reflective patten to jump around the interior of your car or on sslected victim's faces... I have been very happy with the watch. The deployment clasp is fine but scuffs easily. No big thing in my mind... I like them to show a little use and will just go brushed if it gets to bother me... Mido's site shows them like this: http://www.mido.ch/en/collection/sport/diver/ Overall a nice diver with what I consider to be good looks! go for it!! cheers, Pax Mine looks like this

Yes it is integrated. Haven't tried to put a bracelet on it... KenC wrote: I'm looking at the lugs and wondering if it is an "integrated" strap like the Seiko Knights. As I'm not a big rubber strap fan, I'm wondering, if it is "integrated", if there is a leather strap od SS bracelet option!
