Just picked this one up. I liked the retro mechanical chrono and nice decoration of the Chinese version of the Venus movement. Kind of goes with the Lemania copy in my Buran chrono. It has kind of a speedy look to it also.

There's a felllow named Jeff Stanley on the Chinese watch forum who ordered a bunch of Seagulls from China that members of the forum chipped in on. This one was sent as a sample by the factory and Jeff sold it on the sales corner. As I understand it, the factory bought the production machinery from Venus in the 60's to produce chronos for the Chinese Airforce and have been making exact versions of this movement since. Venus offered the machinery to Russia first but they already had the Lemania equipment and were not interested.

I would like to order one myself - I do not own a squelette yet and want one.

I guess the best way is to track down Mr. Stanley here?
