Sorry Oscar, but that watch looks horrible.no.gif

The overall look, no way.

The crown and the crown guard are absolutely unbalanced.
The date position, the date itself, the hand set and dial. All this looks horrible.

Holy bim bam, what a crappy watch.

An insult of a classic.

My statement applies only to the design. Not the quality of the watch.

my only interest is the case,as is the case for many of the Seiko modders who pre-ordered this...I'm hoping since this watch houses the NH35 movement that one of my new Turtles insides will fit without any problems(I'm sure Chris/Oldecrow would know fro sure)...I think my blue Turtle dial will look great inside a bronze case.ThumbsUp02.gif

These appear to be a true 4 o-clock crown build so the new turtles won't swap in without day/date wheels from an older 4 o-clock crown model like 6306/9 or 7002/9 with the correct crown position if the parts will fit the newer seiko's... I have never tried. mistake.gif one of the core seiko nuts over on SCWF would know!

The crown cutout does need a round cut in that case rather than a notch but the prototyping is coming along well...

There was a small "one off" run of exact reproductions of the new turtle case in bronze done over there on SCWF too, might be a better solution than this case for new turtle swaps...
a google search for
turtle bronzo produced a WUS thread about the "one off" guy in Indonesia, pretty interesting setup, bespoke watch cases in most materials for under 400.00...

my understanding is that this is the case proto you mentioned on WUS "one off"thread which was never completed as the crown needed modificatio,it moved to the homage forum and taken to kickstarter in March...here is the pic from the homage forum and WUS...

This kickstarter project is a separate from the guy in Indonesia.

The kickstarter guy has been politely showing off his bronze 6105 in all of the turtle bronzo threads he can find on the internet subtlelaugh.gif

The timing looks like the kickstarter project may have started and finished in this same time period but I don't know when the kickstarter project actually started...

In the WUS thread about the turtle bronzo post #48 he posts the actual watch makers info, looks like they did sort out the crown issues and also looks like he had half a dozen cases made, in the latest posts he had a seiko 6217 prototype in bronze and SS about sorted out! Makes me think I should commission a MM300 bronzo! Also at about post #48 you can see some other examples of the watch makers custom work. It's worth a look to see some of interesting stuff he's done! Has me daydreaming about all kinds of interesting bronze one off's, a Tuna maybe, an skx maybe a bronze Monster!!
Also towards the end of the thread on WUS are some interesting pictures of how he makes bronze buckles.

found the full thread,TY Chris...I see the crown mod now and the difference between the 2...should'nt be too hard to do the same to the TC-9 although this guys proto is of higher quality...I would be in on a MM300 bronzo!ThumbsUp02.gif

the TC9 Turtle arrived and is a nice buy at $200. imho...had some problems with the bezel when it arrived.but all is well now.The crown aligns in the center as the pic of the proto above and so far it is running +2spd,with excellent lume..worked the patina a little as it was a bit too shiny penny looking to me and added a Isophrane strap...happy guy.gif

Looks good Oscar, The real world wrist shot looks much better! I saw one of the other SS 6105 homages they have been talking about on WUS and SCWF in person a couple of weekends ago, it was pretty nice too! also in the sub 200 dollar range!

It's nice to see "the locals" in Asia/Indonesia starting to take an interest in small watch projects I think there is about to be an explosion of these that are really going to give the more traditional micros a real hard time!

The  finished edges at the cut out areas could be nicer, but overall it is a pretty good buy in the $200. ranger..the explosion has started...here is a comprehensive list of how many micros exist today...dog smile.gif
