Love that U2 Phil! my love.gif

I'm going with the new arrival Mkii Hawkinge!!! I was initially shocked by the diminutive case size (at 38mm, it is the smallest watch case that I own by quite a bit!!!) After wearing it for a while last night, I'm coming around on the vintage case size...great vintage vibe and I LOVE the nod to the vintage IWC and JLC Mark 11 watches!!!....proportions and build quality are spot on IMO!!! An extremely well done piece by mkii.

The leather strap that it came on is a very nice quality strap, but I put it straight onto a dark grey nato, which suites it perfectly.

Some dark pics from last night...

Thanks Chris !

I can surely say the U2 is my favorite watch in my collection.

Chris, congrats on your new nice arrival !
It's really a nice one. I Like the simple numbered dial and the hand set.

Like you say, it's unusually small.
But looks really good on your wrist.
Especially with the NATO strap.excellent.gif

What movement is inside ? The classic ETA 2824-2 ?

Thanks Phil. Like I said, the smallest watch I own by a lot, but I'm getting used to it and it further reinforces the vintage vibe if you will (between you and me, I would like it even more at 40mm, but the proportions are spot on with a nod to the vintage IWC and JLC Mark 11 watches).

It is powered by the Japanese SII NE15 movement (ie. Seiko's 6r15 caliber).

Thanks for the infos Chris.

Good choice of the movement. ThumbsUp02.gif

I think the lug2lug size is not too small ?

Was that a pre order ?

Agreed on the movement...solid choice.

Lug-to-lug length I'm measuring is 48.5mm, so yes, that helps it not seem too small.

Somewhat of a preorder in that Mr. Yao offered/unveiled these as a preview opportunity to his plank customers prior to going public.
