...there was a Hammy 7750 clearance priced at $190.00. Although I wasn't in the market for that model, I went back to the office and told my WIS colleague about it. Two hours later he jumped in his car, drove to TJ, and bought it. The night before he was an inch away from buying a Jacques Lemans 7751 on SNBC. Saved himself about 800 bucks! The model I saw looked like this one: As I was looking for the above photo tonight I stumbled upon these sharp-looking "Lefty" models. Think I'll sic my lefty brother on them!

In the words of Charlie Brown, ARRRGGH! What have I done to make the WIS gods angry at me. I have driven to 4 different TJ Maxx stores and come up empty. I did find one Hami 7750, but it was priced at $395.00 and the sub-hand in the sub-dial at the 12:00 position was missing. I found it floating around the dial. I tried to get the manager to take a markdown so that I could take it to my local watchmaker to get it repaired. She wouldn't even consider it. She said that they would have to send it back to the manufacturer. Since TJ's isn't an authorized dealer for Hamilton, I find that hard to believe. You guy's are killing me with all of these $190.00 markdowns. Please stop! I can't take it anymore. Angry_man_2.gif Last edited on Fri Sep 1st, 2006 09:19 pm by Orange Monster |
