This finally got here, so a couple of quik pics follow. So far, I like it. The strap and deployant seems comfortable, with not much weight in the watch itself. I still have to translate the Russian manual...
  • Automatic / self-winding mechanism
  • Central second hand
  • Vostok, Calibre 2416B, 31ruby jewels
  • Totally wound watch runs not less than 31 hours
  • Shock resistance balance
  • Water resistant up to 20 atm
  • Date calendar
  • Luminous hands und markers
  • Solid stainless steel case
  • Diameter 41 mm
  • Height 12,5 mm
  • Stainless steel screw-down back
  • Screwed-in crown

Definitely a nice exterior upgrade for the sturdy 31 jewel Vostok movement inside.  Amfibia line has several distinct designs - this one with the internal bezel really caught my eye...

Thanks Oscar...  it is a departure from the somewhat harsh lines of the rest of the Vostok line. They also have one in all orange (dial and strap) but I thought the 'splash' of orange worked a little better.

I like the look of this one and the orange is right up my alley. Enjoy it. It looks like a nice Ruskie a bit off the beaten path.

Thanks Sean!  The site is vostok-watches at
http://www.vostok-watches.com/ (cut-paste URL).  Peter Maier (Germany) carries the full line... great customer service too.
