OK, Here is another oldie from when Invicta was selling good watches. I bet a lot of Invicta collectors have never seen one. If you guys think you were hardcore Invicta lovers, think again.

It really is a nice watch that looks like a master watchmaker built. It sort of a has an Italian look to it. The dial is ceramic and resembles the texture of the Executive series. A lot of us, back in the day, looked at Invicta as a company who was serious about watches when they offered this, the Ocean Ghost, the Millinium and the 18K 7750 Chrono and promised time and time again that they would keep on bring watches of this caliber to it's customers.

It certainly wouldn't hurt to take a look at them. I checked out the speedy and it looked a bit too commercial, for lack of a better term. It ssems to be well made, but, it seems to lack that hand made look and it has that big overpowering logo. In fact, to me anyway, all of the script on the watch is overdone. The watch just looks stamped out. Compare these to a Rolex or any fine watch, even a low priced Jean Marcel and compare the detail and finish. That is one thing that I have learned to look for. From pictures or the TV all of these watches look similar. When you hold them in your hands and really look closely you will notice these small differences. If a company spends that much effort finishing the outside of the watch there is a good chance that the inards have been given the same attention. I don't think that the same people who made these earlier Invictas are the same people that are making todays.
