Czechoslovakian....................in those days, I was with the 2/9 Cavalry, patroling the west German/Czech border.  Didn't own a TRIAS then. :) I had a simple Glycine Airman!

You know, Ken, if you were a true WIS, you would have worn your Glycine where everybody could see it - - gloves or not!

Ken, I was by the ocean, actually, at the mouth of the Cua Viet River (later named Camp Kistler).  So my attire was entirely appropriate!  :D

Spent my days on long nature hikes through the woods in III Corps, romantic evenings in the Michelin Rubber Plantation, Iron Triangle and the Trapezoid and watching glorius sunsets on the rice paddies north of Saigon.  There were also a few pleasure cruises on the Dong Nai Riverin RAG boats, a short vacation to VC Island, adventure climbing on Nui Bha Dinh and Nui Bha Rha mountains and some spelunking in the caves around Cu Chi.......oh, did I mention all of the fun helicopter tours and hunting trips!!!

Did we have it good.........or what???:D

Hey, I remember those hunting trips, too!  I recall some of those "nature areas" were so thick it took an hour to traverse 20 yards.  Ah, those were the days all right!
