While we're talking suggestions for Dievas, how about a gas tube model with an alarm feature? :) I don't believe there is any competitor out there with one. It would be quartz of course. It could be with or without other complications (i.e. chrono, etc.).

I'm with Mike on this one but wouldn't rule out a Japan auto in the $350. range either although I would prefer the Swiss eta 1st and foremost...call me a purist at heart!hearteyes.gif

SWISS ETA for me...or a hacking/winding Japanese movement of the quality of a Seiko 6R15 or better! Also, either no date or quick set date! NO QUARTZ!!!!!!!

The 8205 and 8215 seem to be rather solid movements. Have not really had a chance to play much with any of the others. I'm a fairly solid auto or hand cranker guy. But autos is all I have experience with in this arena. ;)

They are rugged and accurate...that said, from a marketing/sales standpoint, you will find many that object to the fact that they are non-hacking. It is my understanding that Miyota has a hacking movement, but I have never seen one!
