That is good Edgel, everyone needs a good swift kick in the head every now and then. Movements that are real hand made ones are very important to get serviced. With the cost and availability of parts and movements, the idea of getting them serviced regularly is becoming more important, they are becoming less of a disposable commodity.

I know many rich folks like to lease things over buying them in some areas. I have a very well to do uncle that at one time owned his cars, boats, jets and such. He sold them all and leases almost everything but his main home. More cost effective in the end he says and more pleasurable. No not close to him, but I wish. Have not seen him in 9 years but mom talks about him all the time. Would not surprise me if he leases watches and the like too.

You can take leasing of about any thing off your taxes as an expense in year of use, as apposed to depreciation over time at a reduced percentage of cost dependent on the type of asset. Ken you need to tell watchboy that he needs to change all of his Surefires over to LED they are brighter and batteries last allot longer. It is cheep too $40 a unit.
