I hate to rain on anyone's parade, i.e. awe inspiring technical marvels designed for the deepest depths and which require huge massive cases & crystals, and even deeper depths of your wallet -- so without raining on anyone's parade -- I felt obliged to share with all other modest collectors who consider 3T their home away from work, and who can't afford the luxury of a Rolex Sea Dweller, Pita, Steelfish, UTS, DOXA 5000, PAM 234 or other exotics under $400 you can own a dive watch rated to the extra-ordinary depth of

Yea the TM's are some nice watches. I had one that went missing on a vacation 4 years ago and my kid brother has a real nice one. Nothing at all wrong with those beauties. ;)

Skip, Thanks for the input ... I bought a Technomarine for my lady about 6 - 8 years ago w/ abalone dial, polished case, not the diamond encrusted ones though that were popular with plastic bands. The case and bezel are very well made, tight, and good quality. I think it very interesting, that CX 20,000 all that engineering, cost, expense, huge ungainly monster ... and then Technomarine just squirts some silicone into the case (like SINN) and presto... $390 watch can withstand pressures to 36,000'. CX 20,000 ... Rolex Sea Dweller, JP Seahawk ... I mean these are magnificent works, and incredible accomplishments from engineering stand point. But it would be interesting to learn why these designers/ engineers didn't fill the case w/ silicone ? I am speculating that perhaps the fluid causes resistance on the moving parts? Pretty cool.... I might have to order Techno... I only wish that it didn't have what seems to be a proprietary strap... bracelet would be my choice. Jim
