currently my daily watch needs repair, and I'm wearing my backup casio but i really dont like it.

so here is what I need:

Automatic
44mm diameter
chronograph 12 hour
diver bezel (grabbing with latex gloves, so need a good grip)
tough aka tool watch
good lume
waterproof
easy to read and well marked

optional:
PVD coated black
antimagnetic
titanium
on bracelet or rubber strap

I'm open to suggestions and even offers of anyones used watches that they may want to be rid of. The only problem in this whole situation is my budgets is not to exceed 600. 00. A example of what I like is the Ocean7 LM-6C (pr a IWC aquatimer but thats not gonna happen anytime soon)

If I keep looking online and not working, I will never graduate. (stupid WIS disease)

Somebody may correct me here, but I don't know of too many automatic chrono's with a 12 hour complication in your price range. Most are quartz. At least that is what I suspect.

I agree, most watches with a valjoux 7750, are our of my price range, hence I was hoping for used. (I refuse to buy another quartz)

I have a guy who will sell me one of these

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000H28UN0/ref=s9_simz_gw_s1_p241_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1X0F8TYPNG28VFBTQ8C6&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846

for 500 and its brand new. But it is so flashy, I really like the tool watch look (ocean7, marathon, etc)

maybe I should just go for it?

I saw many pics from this chrono on the net and was about to buy it 2-3 years ago on the Bay: I like the look of the all stuff. This Accutron seems to give much watch for the money in fact but I can't tell for sure as I never been holding it in life and don't know anybody who did....

I own three of the non-chrono versions of this watch. They are beautifully made and the chrono version at $500 is a steal.

About 2 years ago Citizen purchased Bulova/Accutron and some of these watches got "dumped" into the market at fire sale prices. Most are gone, but some still remain out there at these crazy cheap prices.

Comes in a nice box also. Plus, it has one of the nicest bracelets you'll find for under $1000.

The only option I see for you, and it's not a bad one IMHO, it's to go with an asian 12h chrono, auto movement.  I know Nick (nabco) got a very nice Marina Militare, which looked like a 44mm.  The watch is beautiful, it seems to keep very good time and, if I'm not mistaken, it's under $300.  If you are interested to have a look, I can PM you the sellers address and you can see for yourself.  Here is a picture I took from his site.  Hope it helps. hand6.gif

I'll throw in my 2 cents worth...

I would vouch for the Luminox Ultimate SEAL Chrono 8151

45mm case

13.5mm deep

200m water resistance

Tritium lume

12hr chrono

Swiss Ronda Startech 5050.B Quartz movement

Sapphire crystal

And best of all $464 on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Luminox-Ultimate-Chronograph-Watch-8151/dp/B000WYCVZ6

I have had this watch for almost 2 years and it has performed flawlessly. It is one of my go to tool watches. Pictured below is mine on a MTM velcro strap...

How about this one?

Nautec No Limit

Automatic Chrono w/12hr, 43mm, 300M WR

I don't know anything about them, but they look good. They're on Ebay for auction and/or $425 or best offer

They have some other models too, different color bezels, etc...

Oh and to add another part, I used the diver bezel on my last watch (from a company that sponsors this site) so much that it became bi directional. The locking mechanism wore out.
