The designs are really very up-to-date with finishes that are sure to please. But I guess the Seagull movement will take 12 to 15 years before it can be considered collectible by even knowledgable collectors.  I love the Twin Timer and would be good for certain fun purposes. Thanks for the new info, Johnny P.

I am with you Oscar, but would it be worth the money?

at $300. I'll grab 1....the dive style case looks awesome and if the movement has any problems down the road or timing is an issue it would be a great candidate for a eta transplant imho...

For what it's worth, I have several watches with SeaGull movements and have had NO problems with any of them. They all keep very good time and seem rugged. The biggest problem would be getting them serviced, IMO, but any competent watch repair person should be able to do a COA on them.

I own a couple Seagull movement watches as well and they do quite well sitting in a collectors case...dog smile.gif

....all kidding aside this Eberle that uses the eta 2892 Seagull clone has been running well within COSC specs and get's as much wear as most of the watches I own...

I am reserving a Avant Garde bead blasted diver and e-mailed to see what the pre-order deposit is...very cool case with a sandwich dial...the Movas that is!

Thanks for the link!
I looked at everything on this site, and I must say I am really impressed.  It is not often these days that someone comes up with a unique and fresh approach to a range of watches.
We have discussed the Chinese watch industry at length before.  In a nutshell:  you can buy different grades of the same movement.  Ultimately, it boils down to the QC of a specific movement.  Most cases, bracelets and other components are good quality nowadays - to the extent that some Swiss companies source them from "Asia".subtlelaugh.gif
I have a number of Chinese watches.  Some have literally fell apart within a month of acquiring them....others have held up extremely well.  My favourite Seagull movement lives inside a chrono sold by Eddie from Timefactors.  Basically a Venus clone, and runs superbly. Also pretty to look at.
To get back to the brand under discussion:  I might just order one!

I have a Parnis with a Seagull movement, keeps good time...I think it was ST19 not totally sure but good all the same.
I like the designs of those watches, maybe a little too expensive as the casing dwarfs the value of the movement.
