Hey everyone, as the title says, please help me make up my mind.  My choice is between a new PVD Seiko Frankenmonster or a used Black dial Zodiac Oceanaire.  Both are around the same price, so no issue there.  I am leaning toward the Seiko right now cos it looks to stand out more, also I hear the lume is far better than the Zodiac (please confirm if this is true), oh and it's new.  On the other hand, there is just something cool about the Zodiac...Any and all opinions welcome.

Thanks,

Mario...

Mario,

I would opt for the Seiko. Design is more unique and the lume is way better. I'm not a fan of the Claro-Semag in the Zodiac

Will keep that in mind...Seems like most people aren't fond of this movement.

I have an Orange Seiko monster and the lume lasts for hours if you charge it close to a bulb for just 2 minutes. I would go Seiko...

Mario, I have lots of Seikos and I'm a fan of the brand and their products. That's my vote. Go for the FM.

Seiko without a doubt though I'm not a huge fan o the bracelets on the Frankenmonsters.

The Zodiac is a cool watch to but for ruggedness and durability I would stick with Seiko.

As per everyone's advisement I decided to go with the Seiko.  However, instead of the SKZ255, I was able to track down a minty little Orange Sumo on bracelet...Thought it was better to spend a little more and get a nicer piece.  Thanks again for all the encouraging advice...

Cheers...Mario...

Congrats Mario on a great choice...thumbsup.gif

The Sumo case will absolutely impress you IMO...it is one of those pieces that, in the hand, you stare at the wonderful design, fit, and finish and say to yourself...how does Seiko do it for the price of entry!

Hope you enjoy it...and please post up pics when you get it!

No intent to highjack your thread, but here are some Sumo case shots to help wet your appetite until it arrives:

Mario,

Definitely, if you have to choose b/w those two you HAVE to choose the Seiko, it's design, movement, quality, makes it overall a much better choice than the Zodiac..

Do post pics of your final choiceThumbsUp02.gif..
