Someone asked me if the second hand in my SD’r’s Miyota 9015 was a direct drive vs. the 8215 indirect drive second hand which causes the second hand to stutter. I did a few searches and can’t find the answer to this question. I was a bit embarrassed to say the least, since I feel I should know the answer because I own the movement... Thanks, Lance

the 9015 is a direct drive but that has no bearing on a stuttering second which is caused by slop in the gearing and not because it is a indirect drive...through my research I have found some "indirect drives"include some very high end movements like the , Valjoux 7750, Val 7733( although a few of my 7750's do have a slight stutter that are a base grade) and the JLC 889 to name a few and those second hands do not stutter...
