This looks to be the same as the 5000 and $300 off for pre-orders is really not that good of a deal is it? Am I missing something...

Well Trent...I see this as Doxa's "attempt" to fulfill a strong desire by many to bring back the iconic, (and IMO one of the best Doxas ever), the 750T PRO.

You get the larger case size of the 750T and 5000T, but they have brought back the vintage style dial and hands from the 750T Pro.

...obviously the vintage beads-of-rice bracelet is not there, but if you like their more modern bracelet with ratcheting clasp you might like it.

The ETA 2892-2 movement is nice, but at that asking PRICE???? (again, overpriced to me).

I'm thinking you should pick up a preowned 750T !

Here's my 750T Pro...

I hear you Chris the 750 is sweet! I am not looking at buying another Doxa or anything else for sometime (I am mad money poor) but Doxa just seems to be recycling their components.
After what I would call a flop with the 4000 I think it's safe to say it will be a few years before they try another truly "new design" so this recycling will have to do for the Doxa fans I guess.

I have a 750T Military. All Doxas look the same to me. Seems like Doxa needs to make a 47mm watch, have it half coated with PVD, have tritium markers, a bracelet that is half like the original rice and the other half like the new version, and can go all the way down to the bottom of the Mariana Trench, oh... and have a HRV valve. This should put an end to any future "new" Doxas.

Why do people always have to change something that was fine to begin with?

Well this is essentially the 5000 with the more traditional dial/hands combo of the prior subs like the 750. And I'm fine with that as I like those dials and hands. I also like the 5000 mvt, case and its bracelet.
But the price is crazy and it's hardly anything new :)
Just wait and they'll sell gently used for 1300-1500!

Oh and Chris I'm with you on the 750T Pro, so much so that I have one on the way :)

I hear you Trent!  ThumbsUp02.gif

...what seems to be a continuous stretch is the fact that they are recycling these "new" designs in the name of a special and Limited Edition introductions....crusty.gif

...the fine print on the introduction says that, if successful, they will produce this one in the regular production lineup in 2013.

Awesome Brice!!!thumbsup.gif

I'm hoping it was the one that was listed and sold before I even saw it was available!  Looked like an excellent sample of the iconic 750T Pro!

Enjoy amigo!

Probably is. I snatched it within an hour of its posting on WUS. It's coming from Canada. Seems to be in great condition.

I like it, but not shelling out that much for the watch. Why don't they come out with more 750T or 600T Graph? I'd jump on a Searambler for sure. I purchased two 1200Ts, Searambler and a Professional, but returned due to imperfect paints on the hands and hopefully they will correct that sooner or later. QC is questionable in that respect. When you are paying for top $$$ on these types of watches, I want it perfect IMO.

Let's say that any new Doxa is constantly annonced 1500$ overpriced and you will very fast understand why you can't ask so much about the quality as you paid...
Even so, some micro-brands will serve you better when they are there to make costumers, then money, as other known brands just do it the reverse way: I name Kazimon as a micro-brand exemple.
Sometimes, better buy from a watch-maniac who try to make a living, than a business-man investing on the watch market.

Despite many WIS balking at the nothing new , over priced offerings Doxa continues to churn out from it facilities in ___ (well we can never be sure can we?) they will sell these watches. I got my 750T COSC for much less than this in 2005. If one were to spend damn near 3K on a watch, one could do much better than this...
